Outremer Cup 2016

What a party!  This year´s Outermer Cup was a lot of fun! It was also the first year sailing on our own boat, Mais Uma.

Along as Crew our good friends Arne Henrik and Jan Fredrik came along.

We tied in first place in the cooking contest together with our friends on Spica!  And even though we did not win any of the regattas, and placed 13th or so over all, the important price was the culinary price!  

Without good food and drink on board, the crew will not perform over longer period of  time.

We had a lot of fun and got to learn more about the boat, as well as how to race a little better every day!

One of the days we had a guest Crew from Sailing la Vagabonde, who will get their 45 in 2017.

The trip back to La Grande Motte, was a little bit slower, with 2 days with little wind, so we had to use the engines for 18 hours, and we had a night with strong head wind up to 26 knots and big waves, but no rain before we took the sails down before entering the harbour of LGM. We encountered on the last leg of the tour a pod of dolphines playing in front of the bows.

We are very pleased with the trip, and we vere cooking nice meals along the way, and had a very comfortable trip. Looking forward to our next encounter with the sea.
